The main issue that is maddening is on the current version, when getting back in the car the current playing episode is not shown. Maybe there are some kind of phantom notifications or something, but it's not a setting I'd want to turn off permanently. There is also the "pause on notification" setting. I have certainly achieved the same "set it and forget it" setup that I had with BP, together with a set of different playlists for different situations.
